Scientific board

Being formed.
No names until they are real.

The Childhood Journal does not have a scientific board yet. We are inviting clinicians and researchers now. Members will be listed here only once they have agreed, with their credentials and any conflicts of interest.

What the board will do

  • Review the Canada guide, the pregnancy weeks and the published answers, and sign what they review.
  • Review the deterministic safety rules that decide when the emergency card appears.
  • Check that health terms are right in French, English, Spanish and Arabic.
  • Hold back anything they think is wrong: no content they flag stays published.

Who we are looking for

  • Pediatrics and family medicine
  • Obstetrics, midwifery and perinatal nursing
  • Lactation (IBCLC) and infant nutrition
  • Perinatal mental health
  • Public health and immunization
  • Newcomer and refugee health
  • Indigenous health, in partnership with Indigenous organizations
  • Native-speaker clinicians for the Spanish and Arabic versions

The rules it will work by

  • Every member declares their conflicts of interest, published beside their name.
  • A review is dated and names who did it; a page not yet reviewed says so.
  • Members are never asked to endorse a product, a brand or a price.
  • The Childhood Journal carries no advertising, so no advertiser has a say.

Until then

What we publish is written by The Childhood Journal’s team from official Canadian sources, each one linked and dated, and every page says whether a clinician has reviewed it.
